This page contains songs recommended by our music search engine prototype from the Classical Music Archives corpus (14,695 MIDI pieces).

We conducted an experiment with 21 human subjects. We asked them to identify their favorite classical music piece.

Using only melodic features, we asked the search engine to identify the 3 most similar songs, and 3 different songs from the corpus.

Searh results are listed below with MSE value (mean square error) for each song. The smaller the MSE, the closer the similarity.

For comparison, you can also do a live search for each of the 21 query songs, using our latest prototype (requires password, due to music copyright restrictions).
